For a safe and swift recovery, please review the precautions for each procedure and surgery below. Tap an item to see the details. If you have any underlying conditions, allergies, or medications you are currently taking, please let us know in advance.
Precautions Before Surgery
Diet
Please strictly observe a 4-hour fast, including water, candy and chewing gum. (All food and liquids included.)
Medication
Stop taking aspirin, supplements (omega-3, etc.), hormone medication and herbal medicine from one week before surgery.
If you are taking diabetes or blood pressure medication, please tell us in advance.
Preparation
Please completely remove gel manicure from fingernails and toenails (including extension tips and topcoat).
Remove accessories and valuables before your visit. If you wear contact lenses, you must remove them before surgery. (Please bring a lens case.)
For eye surgery, please remove eyelash extensions.
Wear comfortable clothing on the day of surgery. A large bucket hat to wear home afterwards is recommended.
Please bring the patient's own ID card or passport on the day of surgery.
※ For minors: bring the patient's youth ID card, student ID or passport, plus the guardian's ID and a family relation certificate (or resident registration document).
Other Precautions
You may not drive yourself on the day of surgery. If accompanied by a guardian, 1 hour of parking is supported; parking fees beyond 1 hour are at your own expense. (KRW 1,000 per 10 minutes.)
Please check your card balance and daily transfer limit for the remaining payment.
※ If you have any underlying conditions, allergies or current medications, please tell us in advance.
After Lower Eyelid Fat Repositioning
Diet
Please avoid alcohol and smoking for at least one month.
Washing & Showering
Remove the under-eye tape the next day. After removal, shampooing, face washing and skin make-up are allowed.
Saunas, jjimjilbang and public baths are allowed from one month after.
Sleeping Position
Avoid bending your head down for long periods or sleeping on your side after surgery. Be careful not to place pressure or strain on your face.
For the first week after surgery, it is best to sleep with your head higher than your heart.
Facial Swelling (may vary by individual)
Apply cold compresses for the first 3 days, then warm compresses from day 4.
Swelling and bruising occur for 1–2 weeks after surgery and gradually improve.
During compress sessions, apply for about 20–30 minutes, wrapping the ice pack firmly in a handkerchief and applying only around the eyes. (No compresses if fat grafting was performed at the same time.)
A tight or stiff sensation may appear as the skin tissue recovers.
Discharge & Medication
From the day of surgery, apply eye drops 3 times a day.
Eye make-up and contact lenses are allowed from one month after.
For 2 weeks, avoid herbal medicine, aspirin, other medications and strenuous exercise.
You may temporarily feel eye fatigue or dryness.
If discharge such as eye mucus makes it uncomfortable to open your eyes, please use artificial tears.
Bleeding may occur inside the eye but is absorbed naturally, and blood-tinged tears may flow. (Up to 2 weeks.)
In rare cases diplopia (seeing one object as two) may occur after surgery, but it usually improves within 3 months.
After Eye Surgery
Diet
Normal meals are allowed after surgery, but please avoid irritating (spicy, salty, greasy) food as much as possible.
Please avoid alcohol and smoking for at least one month.
Washing & Showering
Face washing is allowed from the day after suture removal.
Shampooing is allowed from the day after surgery. Tilt your head back so that water does not touch the sutured area.
Light skin make-up is allowed from the day after suture removal. Eye make-up and contact lenses are allowed from one month after.
* Non-incisional (natural adhesion) method: 3 days after suture removal
* Epicanthoplasty / incisional method: 7 days after suture removal
Saunas, jjimjilbang and public baths are allowed from one month after.
Sleeping Position
Sleeping with your head higher than your heart for the first week after surgery helps reduce swelling.
Avoid bending your head down, lying face down, or sleeping on your side after surgery.
Be careful not to place pressure or strain on your face.
Facial Swelling (may vary by individual)
Swelling may differ between left and right after surgery, so please allow several months.
Swelling and bruising occur for 1–2 weeks after surgery and gradually improve.
Do not strain or rub your eyes.
Apply cold compresses for the first 3 days, then warm compresses from day 4.
(During compress sessions, apply for about 20–30 minutes, wrapping the pack firmly in a handkerchief and applying only around the eyes.)
(No compresses if fat grafting was performed at the same time.)
A tight or stiff sensation may appear as the skin tissue recovers.
Depending on the surgical site, the conjunctiva may swell or turn red, but this subsides over time.
Discharge & Medication
For 2 weeks, avoid herbal medicine, aspirin and other medications.
For prescribed medication, from the day of surgery first apply eye drops to the sutured area, then squeeze a small amount of ointment onto a cotton swab and spread it thinly 3 times a day.
(Apply until suture removal; do not rub, apply gently.)
* If lower lateral canthoplasty was performed at the same time, apply the eye drops first.
Prescribed medication may vary at the discretion of the medical staff.
For lower eyelid fat repositioning and lower blepharoplasty, the under-eye taping is removed after 3 days.
You may temporarily feel eye fatigue or dryness.
Bleeding may occur inside the eye but is absorbed naturally, and blood-tinged tears may flow.
Other Precautions
Strenuous exercise is allowed from one month after.
Medications you were told to stop before surgery may be resumed from 3 days after surgery.
After Rhinoplasty
Diet
Normal meals are allowed after surgery, but please avoid irritating (spicy, salty, greasy) food as much as possible.
We recommend no alcohol for at least 4 weeks and no smoking for 3 months. Alcohol and smoking can cause inflammation and capsular contracture.
For 2 weeks, avoid herbal medicine, aspirin and other medications.
Washing & Showering
Full face washing and make-up are allowed after the columella sutures are removed (splint tape removed).
Shampooing is allowed from the day after surgery. Tilt your head back so that water does not touch the sutured area.
※ If ear cartilage was used, take care that water does not touch the ear sutures.
Saunas and public baths are allowed from 4 weeks after surgery.
Sleeping Position
Sleeping with your head higher than your heart for the first week after surgery helps reduce swelling.
(You do not need to sleep sitting up; stack one high pillow supporting from your back up to your head.)
Facial Swelling (may vary by individual)
Swelling may differ between left and right after surgery, so please allow several months.
Bruising may appear at the surgical site but disappears after about 2–4 weeks.
Major swelling subsides in about a month; the final nose shape settles at 6 months to 1 year.
As the tissue recovers, swelling may make the nose look asymmetric or appear contracted.
Apply cold compresses for the first 3 days, then warm compresses from day 4.
(During compress sessions, apply for about 20–30 minutes, wrapping the pack firmly in a handkerchief and taking care not to press on the nose.)
Be careful not to place pressure or strain on your face.
For the first week after surgery, it is best to sleep with your head higher than your heart.
Discharge & Medication
Bleeding from the nose may occur for about 2–3 days.
On the day of surgery, replace the gauze under your nose with fresh gauze when it becomes wet; once bleeding stops you may remove it.
From the day after surgery, squeeze a small amount of ointment onto a cotton swab and spread it thinly 3 times a day.
* Columella between the nostrils, and alae (if alar reduction was performed): until day 7
* Inside the nostrils and ears: until day 14
Please take great care that no impact is applied to the surgical site.
Sneezing, coughing, yawning and using a straw can also irritate the nose, so please avoid them as much as possible.
Never touch the taping or the splint.
(Never cut the tape, and take care not to disturb the splint.)
Nasal congestion, a stuffy feeling, reduced sensation and frequent runny nose after surgery are normal reactions, and you may temporarily notice an odour inside the nose.
Other Precautions
Avoid strenuous exercise and take plenty of walks.
※ Strength training such as gym workouts, yoga and pilates is allowed from 4 weeks after.
Glasses and sunglasses may be worn from one month after.
(Lightweight glasses may be worn briefly, but we recommend avoiding them as much as possible.)
After a Facelift
Diet
You may eat any food, but please avoid spicy, salty and irritating food and keep meals mild.
(Also refrain from wrapped foods that require opening your mouth wide, as the incision may open.)
Please avoid alcohol and smoking for one month.
Washing & Showering
Hair washing is allowed after the sutures are removed one week later.
Sleeping Position
For the first week after surgery, sleep on your back with your head higher than your heart.
(Stack blankets to support from your back up to your head and find a comfortable position.)
Facial Swelling (may vary by individual)
Apply cold compresses frequently for 3 days from the day of surgery, and warm compresses from day 4.
Discharge & Medication
After the compression bandage is removed, spread a small amount of ointment thinly over the sutured area. (About 3 times a day.)
Never touch the compression bandage or taping.
From 3 days after surgery, wear the lifting band properly.
Other Precautions
Rest for the first 3 days from the day of surgery, and from day 4 take frequent (slow) walks.
(Strenuous exercise or exercise that causes heavy sweating is allowed from at least 4 weeks after.)
Never have meridian massage.
Do not do anything that places excessive strain on your face.
(e.g. lifting heavy objects, straining during bowel movements, shouting.)
After a Forehead Lift
Diet
You may eat any food, but please avoid spicy, salty and irritating food and keep meals mild.
(Also refrain from wrapped foods that require opening your mouth wide, as the incision may open.)
Please avoid alcohol and smoking for one month.
Washing & Showering
Shampooing is allowed from 3 days after surgery. Take care to irritate the sutured area as little as possible.
(We recommend having your hair washed at a salon.)
Sleeping Position
For the first week after surgery, sleep on your back with your head higher than your heart.
(Stack blankets to support from your back up to your head and find a comfortable position.)
Facial Swelling (may vary by individual)
After surgery your facial sensation is reduced, so even mild stimulation can cause burns or cold injury — please take care.
Use only lukewarm or slightly cool compresses, and be sure to avoid any irritation.
Discharge & Medication
A drain is placed after surgery to prevent blood from pooling, so blood may flow behind the ear on the first day.
On the first day, blood draining out rather than pooling in the wound aids faster recovery and reduces swelling, so there is no need for great concern.
(However, if the face swells and becomes hard, this is an emergency — please contact the clinic immediately.)
Nausea, vomiting and headache are among the common discomforts after surgery. If severe, they can be relieved with additional prescribed medication; for headache, cutting a patch-type motion sickness medicine such as Kimite in half can help relieve symptoms.
Other Precautions
Do not scratch the surgical site and take care to keep your hands away from it.
Avoid tight hats; a loose bucket hat is recommended. When putting on a hat, put it on from the front.
Hair dyeing and perming are allowed from one month after surgery.
Facial massage and meridian massage are allowed only after 2–3 months or more have fully passed. Bleeding can occur for up to a month, and in that case it may cause infection or inflammation.
After Fat Grafting
Diet
Alcohol and smoking can cause inflammation, so please avoid them for 4 weeks.
Avoid deliberate fasting or excessive dieting for 3 months.
(It can interfere with fat graft survival.)
For 2 weeks, avoid herbal medicine, aspirin and other medications.
Washing & Showering
When showering, be sure to apply a waterproof bandage to the donor site, and replace it with a regular bandage after showering.
(You may carefully remove the skin-coloured compression tape yourself 4 days after surgery.)
Saunas and public baths are allowed from 4 weeks after surgery.
Face washing and make-up are allowed from 3 days after.
(Please wash your face after removing the DuoDERM.)
Sleeping Position
Sleep with your head higher than your heart for the first week after surgery.
(You do not need to sleep sitting up; stack one high pillow supporting from your back up to your head.)
Facial Swelling (may vary by individual)
Please avoid compresses, as they can reduce the fat graft survival rate.
Swelling and bruising occur for one month after surgery and gradually improve.
(Bruising is particularly pronounced at the donor site and may look like pigmentation.)
Discharge & Medication
Fluid may drain from the fat donor site for about a day; this is normal and nothing to worry about.
Remove the DuoDERM 3 days after surgery, and remove the compression band on the donor site after 4 days.
* Suture removal: 2 weeks after surgery
Other Precautions
Take care that the surgical site is not bumped or pressed for 3 months.
(Meridian massage, sleeping face down or on your side, wearing caps, etc.)
Avoid strenuous exercise and take plenty of walks.
After Buccal Fat Removal
Diet
Alcohol and smoking can cause inflammation, so please avoid them for 4 weeks.
Have liquid food on the day of surgery and avoid hot and strongly flavoured food for one week.
Washing & Oral Care
Avoid brushing your teeth for 5 days after surgery, and immediately after eating hold Hexamedine gargle solution in your mouth for at least 20 seconds and spit it out.
(Absolutely no vigorous swishing.)
Saunas and public baths are allowed from 4 weeks after surgery.
Facial Swelling (may vary by individual)
Apply cold compresses for 5 days after surgery.
(During compress sessions, apply for about 20–30 minutes with the ice pack wrapped firmly in a handkerchief.)
Discharge & Medication
Please maintain compression for 6–8 hours to stop bleeding and close the empty space.
Other Precautions
Please avoid puffing out your cheeks, vigorous swishing and using straws.
Do not touch the surgical site even with your tongue.
(It may open or become infected.)
Avoid strenuous exercise and take plenty of walks.
(Strength training such as gym workouts, yoga and pilates is allowed from 4 weeks after.)
After a Thread Lift
Diet
Alcohol and smoking can cause inflammation, so please avoid them for 4 weeks.
Please avoid spicy, salty and irritating food.
Washing & Showering
Face washing is allowed from 4 hours after.
Please avoid saunas and jjimjilbang for 7 days after the procedure.
Sleeping Position
Sleep with your head higher than your heart for the first week after surgery.
(You do not need to sleep sitting up; stack one high pillow supporting from your back up to your head.)
Other Precautions
Please rest comfortably and sufficiently.
Avoid strenuous exercise and take plenty of walks.
(Strength training such as gym workouts, yoga and pilates is allowed from 4 weeks after.)
Please refrain from rubbing your face.
Take care not to open your mouth wide or make exaggerated facial expressions.
(Please be careful for up to 4 weeks.)
After Botox / Filler
Diet
Please avoid alcohol and smoking for 7 days.
Washing & Showering
Face washing and make-up are allowed from the same day as the procedure, but do not rub or touch the treated area for 3 hours afterwards.
Saunas and public baths are allowed from 7 days after the procedure.
Discharge & Medication
Redness, bruising, itching, pain, throbbing or numbness may occur for a day or two after the procedure but disappear within a few days.
Do not bend over or lie down for about 4 hours after the procedure.
Other Precautions
Please avoid strong stimulation for 7 days, such as vigorous exercise, massage and meridian massage.
For nose filler, avoid wearing glasses and sunglasses for about 2 weeks. For forehead filler, avoid wearing hats for about 2 weeks.
After wrinkle Botox, your facial expressions may feel unnatural; this eases within 1–2 weeks. Deliberately frowning stimulates the relaxed muscles and makes the effect wear off faster, so please consciously avoid frowning.
The filler area may feel uneven, but it smooths out by itself after 1–2 weeks. Excessive massage can shorten how long the filler lasts.
Filler needs about 2–4 weeks to settle. Touch-up treatment is possible for any areas that need more (if product remains), so please visit according to the schedule we provide.
After Double Chin Liposuction
Diet
Alcohol and smoking are allowed from 4 weeks after surgery. Alcohol can cause inflammation, and smoking constricts blood vessels, which can damage the skin and slow recovery.
Washing & Showering
Shampooing, face washing and skin make-up are allowed from the day after suture removal.
Sleeping Position
Sleep with your head higher than your heart for the first week after surgery.
(You do not need to sleep sitting up; stack one high pillow supporting from your back up to your head.)
Please avoid bending your head down or sleeping on your side after surgery.
Facial Swelling (may vary by individual)
Apply cold compresses for 5 days after surgery.
(During compress sessions, apply to the surgical site for about 20–30 minutes with the ice pack wrapped firmly in a handkerchief.)
Discharge & Medication
Keep the wide band applied to your chin for 3 days, then remove it, and apply only a small amount of ointment to the sutured area 3 times a day.
Wearing the compression band frequently for one month after surgery helps you recover faster.
After suture removal we recommend follow-up care with thermal treatment devices, and please take care not to gain weight.
For 2 weeks, avoid herbal medicine, aspirin and other medications.
(If you have pain, you may additionally take Tylenol.)
Other Precautions
Apart from light walking, exercise such as pilates, gym workouts and swimming, as well as saunas and public baths, are allowed from one month after.
After a Lip Lift (Philtrum Reduction)
Diet
For 3 days after surgery, please eat liquid food while watching in a mirror.
(For up to 6 months you must be careful not to move your mouth too much.)
Scarring is at its worst up to 3 months after surgery, so please avoid alcohol and smoking for 3 months.
Washing & Showering
Shampooing, face washing and skin make-up are allowed from the day after suture removal.
(Salon shampooing is allowed; sutures can be removed on day 10.)
Facial Swelling (may vary by individual)
Apply cold compresses for the first 3 days after surgery and warm compresses from day 4.
Discharge & Medication
To keep the wound from drying out, apply only a rice-grain-sized amount of ointment 3–4 times a day.
Drooling after surgery is a natural phenomenon. Please carry a handkerchief.
If the sutured area becomes soiled, gently wipe it with a sterile cotton swab dipped in saline and apply a small amount of antibiotic ointment.
Never rub or touch the surgical site.
Please avoid exaggerated facial expressions. (No opening your mouth wide, pursing your lips, or using straws.)
Please take good care of the wound using scar ointment or scar sheets so that it heals well.
(Pay attention to sun protection and moisturising as well.)
Once the applied tape comes off it is difficult to reattach, so please visit the clinic.
Injection treatments that aid skin cell regeneration are possible from 2 months after surgery.
After Chin & Paranasal Augmentation
Diet
For 2 weeks after surgery, rinse with bottled water and then Hexamedine gargle immediately after consuming any food or juice.
(When gargling, never puff out your cheeks so that no pressure builds inside the mouth; hold the gargle over the sutured area for 20 seconds and spit it out.)
Alcohol and smoking risk inflammation and infection, so please avoid them for at least 2 weeks.
You must avoid spicy, salty and irritating food, and eat porridge for at least 3 days. After that, continue with soft food.
(We recommend low-sodium options such as porridge, sweet potato and tofu.)
Washing & Oral Care
Take care that food does not get caught around the sutured area. If the sutures open or food gets caught in them, inflammation can develop with swelling and pain.
(The implant may need to be removed and cleaned.)
Brush your teeth from day 7 after surgery, avoiding the sutured area and using a small toothbrush.
(Do not rub the surgical site, and do not use a water flosser.)
Apply cold compresses for the first 2 days after surgery and warm compresses from day 3. (During compress sessions, apply for about 10 minutes with the ice pack wrapped firmly in a handkerchief.)
Discharge & Medication
In rare cases you may experience sharp pain, tooth sensitivity or reduced sensation around the surgical area, but these generally improve over 3–6 months, so there is no need for great concern.
Never touch the taping.
Other Precautions
Please avoid any impact to the surgical site for about 2–3 months.
Avoid strenuous exercise and take plenty of walks.
(Strength training such as gym workouts, yoga and pilates is allowed from 4 weeks after.)
Filler Precautions
Do not rub or touch the treated area. Face washing and make-up are allowed from 3 hours after.
Redness, bruising, itching, pain, throbbing, headache and swelling may occur after the procedure, but these are temporary.
Domestic fillers generally last about 3–6 months and imported fillers about 1 year to 1 year 6 months, but this varies by individual depending on the nature of the filler and how much the treated area moves.
Medication may be prescribed after the procedure. If you have any drug allergies, you must tell us in advance.
Please avoid alcohol, smoking, jjimjilbang, saunas and strenuous exercise for one week.
Until the filler settles, do not touch or press the treated area for one month, and also avoid strong-pressure massage.
If you experience pain or colour change at the treated area, or if blisters appear, you must contact the clinic immediately.
Lupang Injection Precautions
A small amount of the solution may leak out after the procedure.
Please avoid alcohol and smoking on the day of the procedure, and drink plenty of water.
You should avoid saunas, jjimjilbang, swimming and massage for about one week.
Pain at the treated area may last about 3 days. (Varies by individual.)
Swelling, bruising and a lumpy feeling may occur, and in rare cases an allergic reaction may develop.
If the injection used contained steroids, pigmentation, menstrual irregularity and heart palpitations may occur.
Swelling gradually subsides within a day, starting about 3–4 hours after.
Results begin to appear from about 1–2 weeks after.
Any remaining marks at the treated area disappear within a week.
A second treatment is possible from one week after.
Combining the treatment with exercise, diet management or weight-loss medication can produce greater results.
* If you need a weight-loss medication prescription, please speak to your coordinator.
If swelling, redness or pain at the treated area persists, please visit the clinic.
Skin Booster (Elravie Rituo, Rejuran, Aqua-Shine, etc.) Precautions
Do not rub or touch the treated area. Face washing and make-up are allowed from 3 hours after.
Redness, bruising, itching, pain, throbbing, headache and swelling may occur after the procedure, but these are temporary.
Needle marks, swelling and bruising may be present.
Results appear gradually within 2 weeks.
Please avoid alcohol, smoking, jjimjilbang, saunas and strenuous exercise for one week.
Treatment can be repeated at 3–4 week intervals, and we recommend a course of 3 sessions.
Small raised bumps vary by individual and usually subside within one week.
Please apply sunscreen and take care with sun protection.
Botox Precautions
Do not rub or touch the treated area. Face washing and make-up are allowed from 3 hours after.
Redness, bruising, itching, pain, throbbing, headache and swelling may occur after the procedure, but these are temporary.
How long results last varies by individual and can differ depending on resistance. The minimum interval between treatments is 3 months.
Results appear gradually within 2 weeks, and for those 2 weeks it is best to keep heat away from the treated area.
Please avoid alcohol, smoking, jjimjilbang, saunas and strenuous exercise for one week.
The treated area may feel stiff and weak.
After forehead or glabella Botox, your eyes may feel heavy and opening them may feel uncomfortable.
After salivary gland Botox, your mouth may feel dry.
After lip-corner Botox or skin Botox, your face may temporarily look asymmetric.
Shurink Precautions
Swelling or redness may occur after the procedure, and this varies by individual.
You may feel temporary skin tightness immediately after the procedure, and over the following 2–4 weeks you may feel a throbbing sensation in the skin or jawbone.
Because the collagen regeneration period differs from person to person, results can be seen over up to 1–3 months, and satisfaction and the degree of skin improvement can vary considerably between individuals.
Please avoid alcohol, smoking, jjimjilbang, saunas and strenuous exercise, as they can affect the skin regeneration response.
Make-up, face washing and a light shower are allowed on the same day.
Mole, Wart & Milia Removal Precautions
Please buy DuoDERM from a pharmacy and keep it applied for about 5–7 days.
When the DuoDERM swells up white, remove it and apply a new one. You may wash your face and wear make-up with the DuoDERM applied.
Until the treated area has fully healed, you must avoid alcohol, smoking, jjimjilbang, saunas, exercise that causes sweating, and injection treatments.
To prevent pigmentation, apply sunscreen thoroughly when going out, and it is good to apply regenerative cream frequently.
Complete removal in a single session may not be possible and additional treatment may be needed; you may have additional treatment from 3 months after the first session.
Instead of DuoDERM, you may also frequently apply Fucidin or Esroban ointment.
Laser Hair Removal Precautions
Please shave the treatment area the evening before and then come to the clinic.
Please refrain from waxing and tanning while undergoing laser hair removal.
With each session hair becomes sparser and finer, but because this is not permanent hair removal, additional treatment may be required.
The number of sessions needed can vary depending on individual characteristics (hair density, thickness and amount).
Redness and itching may occur around the hair follicles but usually disappear within 2–3 days.
To prevent folliculitis, it is good to keep the skin well moisturised.
Treatment is possible at intervals of at least 4 weeks, and you must keep to the intervals to see results.
Multi-session packages must be used within one year.
Tune Face Precautions
Swelling, redness or a stiff feeling may occur after the procedure, and this varies by individual. You may experience dryness, so moisturising care is recommended.
Because this treatment uses heat to stimulate collagen production, please avoid cooling the skin — such as with cold compresses — for about a day.
Because the collagen regeneration period differs from person to person, results can be seen over up to about a month, and satisfaction and the degree of skin improvement vary considerably between individuals.
Please avoid alcohol, smoking, jjimjilbang, saunas and strenuous exercise for about a week, as they can affect the skin regeneration response.
Make-up, face washing and a light shower are allowed on the same day.
Please avoid alcohol, smoking, jjimjilbang, saunas and strenuous exercise for one week.
Skin Laser Precautions
After the laser your skin may sting or itch, and the next day small bumps, swelling and redness may appear. Please take care to moisturise with a hydrating cream.
Depending on the type of laser, scabs may form the next day. Never pick them off — apply regenerative cream instead.
For one week after the procedure it is best to avoid alcohol, smoking, perming, hair dyeing, jjimjilbang, saunas, strenuous exercise that causes sweating, massage and meridian massage.
Pigmentation may temporarily look darker, but this is part of the improvement process.
Please be sure to apply sunscreen when going out.
Depending on the pigmented lesion, the treatment period may be longer.
